The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was great, but I found the food to be lacking. I ordered a chicken shawarma platter, which is my go-to meal at any donair/shawarma place. The salad was ok, but very small. The pita was decent, and oven toasted, but the hummus was very bland. It had green specks all through it, so I was expecting maybe some kind of secret extra flavour, but I think they may have just blended parsley into it when it was made. The rice was very overcooked and not seasoned or oiled. It was just kind of a translucent gooey blob. The chicken itself was ok, but it was also fairly bland, and the sauces were pretty skimpy, especially the hot sauce. And the portions were small. Most places give you a heaping pile of everything, like as much as you can possibly cram into a 3-compartment take out container, but this just barely covered the surface of a smallish plastic plate. I ordered the same thing years and years ago from them when they were in a different location on S. Fraser, which is occupied by Hong's now, I believe. I remember it being extremely good back then. They must have changed ownership or something. Next time I'm in Abbotsford and craving shawarma, I'll try somewhere else.
